What is erotic lingerie?

These are underwear and bedroom pieces made to make you feel good and to play with what is shown and what is covered. Care and washing

Lace, silk and satin last for years if washed properly, and what damages them most is heat and friction, so wash them gently and do not tumble dry. Vinyl and wet-look should not go in water. Each piece may have different instructions depending on its composition, so check the label or the product page before washing.

How to choose

• Material: lace works well for everyday and romantic looks, satin feels soft without being explicit, vinyl and wet-look get straight to the point with a fetish look, and mesh covers without hiding anything.
• Size: measure your bust, waist and hips and compare them with the manufacturer's size chart on the product page; sizes vary between brands.
• Stretch: if the composition includes elastane or spandex, the piece fits the body better; leather and vinyl give very little.
• Cut: fitted (bodysuit, corset, catsuit) if you want to show off your figure, loose (babydoll, nightgown) if you want comfort.
• Fastenings and openings: check whether it fastens with hooks, a zip or ties, and whether it is an open-crotch style.

The bodysuit is fitted from top to bottom, like a swimsuit. The teddy is similar but with a lower neckline, openings and decorative details, and it is not worn under clothes. The babydoll has a flared skirt from the bust and falls loose over the stomach, so it is the most comfortable of the three.

A babydoll. Its loose cut forgives a difference of 1-2 sizes and flatters all shapes, so it is the safest choice for a gift.

What is the difference between a corset and a bustier?
