Types of fetish lingerie by material

In fetish lingerie the materials range from real leather to latex, and each is worn and cared for differently. Of this list, the page has leather and faux leather (harnesses, dresses, bodysuits and jockstraps), latex (the Exposed gloves) and polyester with elastane; there are no vinyl or PVC garments.

  • Real leather: the material with the most cultural weight in fetishism. It is the most premium, ages well and has its characteristic smell, but it needs conditioning from time to time.

  • Material: the product page gives the composition. The leather in the dresses and bodysuits is synthetic or leather-effect, and each harness's page states it; the teddies and sets are mostly polyester with elastane. If you are allergic to latex, avoid it.
  • Size: check the size chart; vinyl and PVC do not stretch and elastane does. There are models in plus sizes.
  • Fastening: front zip, hooks or adjustable straps; with a zip you put it on and take it off faster.
  • Openings: some panties and teddies have an opening at the crotch so you do not have to take them off.

How do you care for erotic leather clothing?

Never in the washing machine. Wipe it with a damp cloth after each use, apply a leather conditioner every 2-3 months and store it hanging on a hanger, because folded leather cracks. Faux leather is easier: a damp cloth and you are done. Polyester and elastane garments are washed as the label says.
