The studies we cite did not test this lubricant. What has been studied is the use of water-based lubricants, on their own or compared with silicone ones.
In a 5-week diary study, water-based lubricants were associated with fewer genital symptoms than silicone ones, and both types with more pleasure and sexual satisfaction. This is not a cause-and-effect comparison.
Five lubricants were compared, some formulated according to pH and osmolality guidelines. All five were effective and well tolerated in relieving the discomfort associated with vaginal dryness.
