The essentials
Intense Jan: what you need to know before you buy
Is it for you?
Who the Intense Jan is for, and who it isn't
It suits you if…
- You want someone else to control the vibration from a distance with a remote.
- You prefer a light egg: it weighs 30 g, a little more than an AA battery.
- You want to be able to use it on your own too, by putting the remote away.
- You want a vibrating egg that charges by USB and doesn't use up batteries. Only the remote takes them.
Better look elsewhere if…
- You want to know how long the battery lasts before you buy. The Svakom Elva gives 3 hours of battery life.
- You use silicone-based lubricant. It can damage the silicone surface of the egg.
- You want to know its size before you buy. The Mr. Boss Denis is 7.5 cm long, a little shorter than a bank card, and 3.7 cm in diameter, a little smaller than a ping-pong ball.
- You want one for the bath. The Svakom Elva has an IPX7 rating.
Our usage tips
How to use the Intense Jan
- Charge it by USB before you use it.
- Put two AAA batteries in the remote. They are not included.
- Apply water-based lubricant if you need it. The egg is made of silicone.
- Place it in the vagina.
- Hand the remote to your partner so they can control the vibration from up to 10 metres away.
- Put the remote away if you'd rather use the egg without it and decide for yourself when and how.
Cleaning
We have no cleaning instructions from the manufacturer. Our own advice: wash the vibrating egg before and after each use with warm water and mild soap, without submerging it. Rinse it and dry it well before storing it or charging it. Clean the remote with a dry cloth only.
Our tips
- Do not use silicone-based lubricant: it can damage the silicone surface.
- Do not submerge it or use it in the bath, and keep the remote away from water.
- Use it vaginally only. For anal use you need a toy with a flared base or stopper.
- If you feel pain or discomfort, stop and remove it.

Questions
Intense Jan: frequently asked questions
Is the Intense Jan fully waterproof (submersible)?
Yes. The egg is described as fully waterproof (submersible), so you can use it in the bath or shower. That applies to the egg, not the remote.
What is the range of the Intense Jan remote?
Up to 10 metres. With the remote, someone else can control the vibration from a distance.
Is the Intense Jan rechargeable?
Yes. It charges by USB, so the egg doesn't need batteries.
How many modes does the Intense Jan have?
10 vibration modes and 10 intensity levels.
Which lubricant suits the Intense Jan?
A water-based one. The egg is made of silicone, and silicone-based lubricant can damage its surface.
Can you use the Intense Jan without the remote?
Yes. If you want to stay in control yourself, put the remote away and use the egg without it.
How much does the Intense Jan weigh?
30 g, the weight of the egg. That's a little more than an AA battery, which weighs 23 g.
How do you clean the Intense Jan?
As our own advice: wash the egg before and after each use with warm water and mild soap, rinse it and dry it well before storing it. The remote must not get wet: clean it with a dry cloth.
