The essentials
Intense Mabel: what you need to know before you buy
Is it for you?
Who the Intense Mabel is for, and who it isn't for
It suits you if…
- You want a vibrating cock ring that also stimulates the clitoris during penetration.
- You want a toy you can both use while you have sex.
- You prefer a USB rechargeable toy to one that takes batteries.
- You want to use it in the shower. According to the product information, it has IPX7 protection.
Better look elsewhere if…
- You are allergic or sensitive to silicone.
- You'd rather change batteries than charge a toy. Take a look at the Fantasy C-Ringz Performance, which runs on one AAA battery.
- You only want to stimulate the penis. This ring has a built-in clitoral stimulator designed for your partner.
Our usage tips
How to use the Intense Mabel
- Charge it by USB before using it for the first time.
- Wash it with warm water and mild soap before you use it.
- Put a little water-based lubricant on the inside of the ring so it goes on without pulling.
- Place it at the base of the penis with the stimulator facing up, so it sits on your partner's clitoris during penetration.
- Switch it on and try the modes until you find the one you both like.
Cleaning
Wash it before and after every use with warm water and mild soap or a toy cleaner. Rinse well and dry it before putting it away.
Our tips
- Take it off straight away if you feel pain, numbness, coldness or a change in colour in your penis.
- Don't wear it for long stretches at a time and don't fall asleep wearing it.
- Use water-based lubricant. Silicone-based ones can damage silicone toys.
- If you are allergic to silicone, don't use it.
What the science says
What the science says about clitoral stimulation during penetration
The studies we cite did not test the Intense Mabel. What has been studied is the practice it makes easier: stimulating the clitoris during penetration.
69.7% said they reach orgasm more often, or find vaginal penetration more pleasurable, if the clitoris is stimulated at the same time with a finger or a toy. The survey does not mention vibrating rings specifically.
