Catsuits
A catsuit is a one-piece erotic garment that covers the whole body like a second skin, from the neck or shoulders to the ankles. The fishnet or mesh ones are also called bodystockings. To choose, look first at the fabric and whether it has an open crotch, then at the size.

What is a catsuit?
It is a fitted one-piece garment that shows off your whole silhouette and leaves little to the imagination. In this category almost all the styles are fishnet, net or mesh bodystockings, often with lace, sheer panels and an open crotch, and most are one size. If you are after something that covers only the torso, have a look at bodysuits or teddies; if you only want to cover your legs, try leggings.
Types of catsuit
The fabric, the pattern and the opening change from one style to the next.
- Fishnet and net: the classic bodystocking, with large or small diamonds, that lets the skin show through everywhere.
- Mesh and lace: denser, with embroidery or floral lace that covers some areas and leaves others sheer.
- With an open crotch: many styles come open (crotchless), so you do not need to take it off for sex.
- Garter or dress effect: patterns that imitate a garter belt with stockings, crossed straps or a short skirt woven into the same piece.
- Vinyl, wet-look and latex: the shiny, more fetish-style finish, sometimes with an access zip. If that is what you want, also see fetish and leather.
Care
Fishnet and fine lace snag on nails, rings and Velcro, so put it on slowly. Wash it as the label says; if it says nothing, hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild soap and air dry, without wringing it out or putting it in the tumble dryer.
How to choose
- Fabric: fishnet or net if you want the skin to show; dense mesh or lace if you prefer a bit more coverage.
- Opening: the photos and description tell you whether the crotch is open, has a zip or is closed.
- Size: almost all are one size; if the product page gives a range or a size chart, compare it with your measurements.
- Composition: on the pages that list it, you will see nylon or polyamide with some elastane (spandex), which is what gives it stretch.
- Coverage: check whether it goes up to the neck, has sleeves or leaves the shoulders and back bare.
Frequently asked questions
How do you put on a catsuit without a struggle?
Sit down and roll it up like tights before putting your feet in. Wet-look and fishnet ones are the easiest because the fabric is stretchy and they go on like leggings: legs first, then you work it upwards. Vinyl or PVC ones need talcum powder on the skin so they slide, and latex ones need silicone lubricant or talcum powder on the inside.
Do catsuits have an opening for going to the toilet?
Most do, either a front or back zip that runs down to the crotch or a permanent opening (crotchless). Check the photos and description before you buy, because without an opening you will have to take the whole thing off.
What is the difference between a catsuit and a bodystocking?
Hardly any. Both are one piece and cover the whole body; bodystocking is used mostly for the fishnet, net or mesh ones, which are like tights that go all the way up to the shoulders.
What size do I pick if the catsuit is one size?
You do not have to pick: fishnet and mesh are stretchy and the garment adapts to your body. If you usually wear larger sizes, look for styles marked 1X-2X or browse the plus size section.
Can you wear a catsuit with another garment over it?
Yes. Fishnet ones look good with a bodysuit, a bra or a short dress over the top, so you cover only what you want to.
