What the science says
What the science says about water-based lubricants
The studies we cite did not test this lubricant. What has been studied is the use of water-based and silicone lubricants.
In a 5-week diary study, water-based lubricants were associated with fewer genital symptoms than silicone ones, and both types with more pleasure and sexual satisfaction. This is an association, not proof of cause and effect.
