The essentials
CalExotics One-Way Anal Douche: what you need to know before you buy
Is it for you?
Who the CalExotics One-Way Anal Douche is for, and who it isn't
It suits you if…
- You want a manual bulb anal douche, with no cables or battery.
- You want the water to stay put when you release the bulb.
- A 2.5 cm diameter nozzle suits you, slightly narrower than a two-euro coin.
- You want to be able to take it apart and wash it properly.
Better look elsewhere if…
- You'd prefer a slimmer nozzle. Have a look at the Addicted Toys Modelo 3, which is 1.7 cm in diameter.
- You want a douche that pushes the water out by itself. This one works by squeezing the bulb by hand.
- You'd rather avoid PVC: the bulb is PVC, though phthalate-free.
Size and measurements
CalExotics One-Way Anal Douche size
It's 20.5 cm (8.1 in) long in total, a little longer than a medium banana. The nozzle is 9 cm (3.5 in) long, slightly longer than a bank card, and 2.5 cm (1 in) in diameter, slightly narrower than a two-euro coin. The bulb is 11.5 cm (4.5 in) long, about the height of a 33 cl can, and 7 cm (2.8 in) wide, slightly bigger than a tennis ball, so it always stays outside.
Nozzle and bulb measurements are from the manufacturer's website; the total length is from the product information.

Step by step
How to use the CalExotics One-Way Anal Douche
- Wash it before you use it for the first time.
- Take off the nozzle and fill the bulb with lukewarm water, with no soap or other products.
- Put the nozzle back on and apply a little water-based lubricant to the tip, which works with any material.
- Insert it slowly, without forcing it. The bulb always stays outside.
- Squeeze the bulb gradually. The valve stops the water flowing back.
- Remove the nozzle and empty into the toilet when you feel the need.
Cleaning
It comes apart: take off the nozzle and wash the bulb and the nozzle separately with water and mild soap. Rinse well, let them air dry, and only store it assembled once it's dry.
Our tips
- If you feel pain or stinging, stop.
- Squeeze slowly: don't force the water in all at once or under pressure.
- If you have haemorrhoids, fissures or anal discomfort, talk to a healthcare professional first.
- Don't go from anal to vaginal without washing the nozzle first.
- It's water-resistant, but don't leave it soaking.
