Description
The CalExotics First Time Vibrating Beaded Probe is a vibrating beaded anal plug made from body-safe silicone. You get 9.5 cm of total length, a 3.25 cm diameter and a maximum diameter of 5 cm. You can choose from 10 vibration, pulsing and ramping functions, and it has IPX7 water protection. You can recharge it via USB, and a charging cable is included.
Who it suits and who it doesn't
If you want to use a vibrating anal plug in the bath, this one is rated as suitable for that. If you’re taking it travelling, you can activate the travel lock before putting it away.
This may not be the usual choice for your first anal toy: at 3.25 cm in diameter and 5 cm at its widest point, you’d generally be better off starting with a narrower one.
How to use it and look after it
- Hold the button down for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the travel lock.
- When you switch it on again, bear in mind that it returns to the last function you used.
Charge it via USB for 1 hour using the cable provided.
- It can be submerged in water.
Compatibility
- Lubricant: As it’s made from silicone, the general rule is to use water-based lubricant; silicone-based lubricant may damage its surface.
- Water: It’s IPX7 and rated as suitable for use in the bath; you can also use it in the shower.
- Charging: It has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that charges via USB, and a cable is included.
General tips
Common good practice for this type of product; these are not the manufacturer's instructions.
- The anus doesn't lubricate itself: use plenty of lube and add more as soon as you feel any friction.
- Start slowly with your body relaxed, breathing deeply as you insert it. If you feel pain, stop: anal play should never be forced.
- Given its diameter, it isn't the best choice as a first anal toy: the usual approach is to start with a narrower one and work up in size gradually.
- Don't move it from the anus to the vagina without washing it first, or change the condom covering it.
- To remove it, pull gently on the base and take your time; a little more lube helps.
- The first few times, wear it only briefly and gradually increase the time as you feel comfortable.
- Start at the lowest intensity and work up gradually: that way you'll find the rhythm you like sooner.
How it differs
- Secret Play Plug Anal: This plug measures 9.5 cm in total, compared with the Secret Play Plug Anal at 8 cm: choose the CalExotics if you want the longer of the two, or the Secret Play Plug Anal if you prefer the shorter one.
Our verdict
You get 10 functions, though battery life is 55 minutes at high speed compared with 70 minutes at low speed.
Before first use, read the manufacturer's instructions that come with the product: they are the reference for its use, cleaning and safety.
