Batteries

Batteries used in sex toys in the usual sizes (AAA, AA, the LR44 button cell, and LR1 and LRV08 for vibrating eggs and their remotes), plus chargers for rechargeable toys. To get the right one, check the size printed on the battery in your toy and always keep a spare pair in the drawer.

What batteries are used in vibrators and other sex toys?

There are five sizes here: AA (from AIWA, Procell and Philips), AAA (from AIWA and Procell), the 1.5 V LR44 button cell and the two used in vibrating eggs, the LR1 and the LRV08. C batteries and CR2032 cells, which some toys also use, are not in this section. The AAA is the most common in mini vibrators, bullet vibrators and eggs; the AA in medium-sized vibrators, and the LR44 or AG13 in vibrating rings and small bullet vibrators. Some vibrating eggs take an LR1 (size N) in the egg and an LRV08 in the remote, so it is worth checking both.

Batteries and chargers

As well as long-lasting alkaline batteries from reliable brands, here you will find USB chargers from Satisfyer and Dreamlove and a 9 V Lelo charger for their rechargeable toys.

Care and safety

Do not mix new and used batteries in the same toy. Keep button cells out of the reach of children and take used batteries to a battery recycling point.

How to choose

  • Size: the code is in the product name (AAA, AA, LR44, LR1…) and has to match the one printed on the battery you take out of your toy.
  • Voltage: some button cells look alike but do not give the same output; the product page lists the volts, such as 1.5 V for the LR44.
  • Quantity: check how many come in the pack and how many your toy needs, without forgetting the ones for the remote.
  • Charger: check the product page for the brand and the models it works with.

Which batteries does my vibrator use?

It depends on the size: AAA in mini vibrators, bullet vibrators and eggs; AA in medium-sized vibrators, and LR44 or AG13 in vibrating rings and small bullet vibrators. If you are not sure, open the compartment and look at the one inside: the size is printed on the battery itself.

Are the LR44 and the AG13 the same battery?

Yes, they are equivalent: they have the same size and 1.5 V, and you can use either one.

Do you sell battery-powered vibrators?

Yes, they are in vibrators; here there are only batteries and chargers. On each vibrator's product page, check whether it is battery-powered or rechargeable and which batteries it takes.

Can I leave the batteries in the toy?

Better not if you will not be using it for a while. Take them out to avoid corrosion, which can damage the contacts, and store them separately.
