Secret Play Party Play: what you need to know before you buy
Is it for you?
Who the Secret Play Party Play is for, and who it isn't
It suits you if…
- You want a sex dice game to liven up a night with your partner or friends.
- You want rules you can explain in a minute.
- You prefer something simple, with no board or cards: just five dice.
- You're playing in a group you trust, and you're up for some daring play.
Better look elsewhere if…
- You want a game with cards, written dares or a board. This one comes with just five dice.
- Someone in the group doesn't want physical contact with several people. Here, the actions are shared out according to what the dice show.
Step by step
How to play the Secret Play Party Play
- Agree beforehand on what's off limits and on a signal to stop.
- The oldest person in the group starts. Roll the black die, which sets the action, and one coloured die, which sets the body zone.
- Everyone else rolls their coloured die. The action is done with whoever rolls the same zone.
- Pass the black die to the person who received the action. They roll in the next round.
- Keep going with no time limit, until the group decides to finish.
Cleaning
If they get dirty, wipe them with a dry cloth. Keep all five dice together in their box so you don't lose any.
Our tips
- Anyone can say no to an action, without giving a reason.
- If someone uses the signal to stop, you stop.
- If you've been drinking, take it slower. A yes has to be clear.
- Only play with people aged 18 or over.
In the box
What's in the box
- 1 black 20 mm die, with the actions
- 4 coloured 20 mm dice, with the body zones
What the science says
What science says about asking for and giving a yes in clear words
The studies we cite did not test this game. What has been studied is the effect of saying in clear words what you want and what you don't, which matters in a game of actions between several people.
In three studies, the first with 392 adults, feeling a high level of internal consent and using explicit verbal signals was associated with greater sexual and relationship satisfaction. The studies looked at couples, not group games.
