What are sex toys for men?

What the studies say

In a survey of 25,294 gay and bisexual men, 78.5% had used at least one type of sex toy. Of them, 51.9% had used non-vibrating cock rings, 49.6% vibrators and 27.9% sleeve masturbators (Rosenberger et al., 2012, Arch Sex Behav).

Among heterosexual men, a representative US survey found that 43.8% had used a vibrator at some point, almost always during sex with a female partner (Reece et al., 2010, J Sex Marital Ther).

On sexual aids, such as vibrators or lubricants, for men with sexual dysfunction, a review notes that the scientific literature that has studied them is limited (Miranda et al., 2019, J Sex Med). Safety and care

With a cock ring, never fall asleep wearing it. Choose a size with some room: if it is tight as soon as you put it on, it is too small.

Any toy that goes into the anus must have a wide base or a stopper, so it cannot slip inside, and it should always be used with anal lubricant or a lubricant with a good thick consistency. With TPE or TPR masturbators, which are soft and slightly porous, and with silicone toys, use water-based lubricant. Wash them after every use and let them dry completely before putting them away.

How to choose
