You each take a pile, the man's or the woman's, and turn over your cards at the same time, in order. If the coloured number is the same on both, the position is compatible and you try it while the sand runs through the timer. When it runs out, you carry on playing.

Secret Play Kamasutra Play: what you need to know before you buy
Is it for you?
Who Secret Play Kamasutra Play is for, and who it isn't for
It suits you if…
- You want a game to play as a couple that suggests Kamasutra positions as you go.
- You like rules you can pick up in a minute: turn over cards at the same time and check whether the numbers match.
- You fancy putting a time limit on each position with a sand timer.
Better look elsewhere if…
- You're a same-sex couple. The game is built around one pile of man's cards and one of woman's cards.
- You want a game with questions, dares or forfeits. The cards in this one are positions only.
Step by step
How to play Secret Play Kamasutra Play
- Split the cards into two piles, the man's and the woman's. Each of you takes one.
- Turn over your cards at the same time, following the order of each pile.
- Check the coloured numbers. If they're the same on both cards, for example an 8 on each, the position is compatible.
- Turn the sand timer over and hold the position for its 60 seconds, no longer.
- When the time is up, keep turning over cards until the next match.
Storage
Keep the cards and the sand timer in their box, somewhere dry, so the cards don't bend and nothing gets lost.
Our tips
- Before you start, talk about what you like the sound of and what you don't.
- Either of you can skip a position without giving a reason.
- If a position hurts or isn't working, stop, even if there's still sand left in the timer.
