Double Dildos

A double dildo is a dildo with two ends, designed for vaginal and anal penetration at the same time or for two people to use together. To choose one, look at how long each end is, whether it bends easily and what material it is made of.

What is a double dildo?

It is a dildo with a usable end at each tip. One person can use it for vaginal and anal penetration at the same time, or a couple can share it, with one end each. The double-ended ones here measure 28 to 46 cm in total length: the shortest is the Loving Joy Double Mini, at about 13 cm per side, and the longest are the King Cock Clear Double Trouble and the silicone Get Real, which comes in 35, 40 or 46 cm. Those designed for solo double penetration, such as the Loving Joy Double Fun and Vibrating or the Pretty Love Keaven with strap, are shorter, at 13 to 17.5 cm. They come in different curves and with more or less flexibility, and some have vibration in one or both ends. If you want a single-ended one, take a look at our dildos or realistic dildos.

Types of double dildos

They differ in the shape of the ends and in how they are held in place.

  • Flexible symmetrical: both ends are the same. This is the classic model, and it bends so you can adjust the angle.
  • Asymmetrical: one end is longer or thicker than the other, so you choose the intensity of each side.
  • Vibrating: they have a motor in one or both ends.
  • Strap-on: they are fixed at the hip like a harness, so the wearer has their hands free.
  • Strapless (like the Share by Fun Factory): the short end goes inside and holds the toy in place, and the other end penetrates your partner, with no harness. It calls for strong pelvic floor muscles or a vibrating model that helps keep it in place.

Safety

If you share it, put a condom on each end. Whether you use it alone or with a partner, the end that has been in the anus should not go into the vagina without being washed or having the condom changed. In a study of 324 men with HIV who have sex with men in Mexico, sharing sex toys was independently associated with hepatitis C infection (Mata-Marín et al., 2022, PLoS One). Several models are made of TPE or TPR, which are more porous than silicone: wash them with warm water and mild soap after each use and store them dry.

How to choose

  • Length: the product page gives the total length, so work out how much is left for each end, especially if it is for two people.
  • Material: silicone, TPE, TPR or latex. If you are allergic to latex, check the product page.
  • Flexibility: for the scissor position or for solo use, choose one that the product page describes as flexible.
  • Vibration: check whether the motor is in one or both ends and how many modes it has.
  • Water: on the vibrating ones, “fully waterproof (submersible)” can take the shower; “splashproof” only withstands getting a little wet.

Double Dildos: frequently asked questions

How do you use a double dildo as a couple?

The classic way is face to face, with your legs interlocked in a scissor position: each person takes one end and you move at the same time. It also works lying on your sides, spooning, and on all fours, one behind the other. Talk about pace and depth as you go.

What is the difference between a double dildo and a strapless?

A double dildo has two similar ends and needs both people to push to keep it in place. A strapless has a short, bulbous end made to stay inside and works like a harness without straps: it gives more control to the person penetrating, but it calls for strong pelvic floor muscles.

Can you use a double dildo on your own?

Yes. Bend it so that one end goes into the vagina and the other into the anus. To start with, choose a flexible, slim model, with plenty of lubricant and, for anal use, an anal lubricant.

Which lubricant should you use with a double dildo?

A water-based lubricant, which suits all materials and latex. Silicone-based lubricant can damage the surface of silicone toys.
