What the science says
What science says about water-based lubricants
The study we cite did not test this lubricant. It compared other water-based and silicone lubricants.
In a 5-week diary, water-based lubricants were associated with fewer genital symptoms than silicone ones. Both types were associated with more pleasure and sexual satisfaction. This is not a comparison of cause and effect.
