- You want one you can use with silicone toys.
- You prefer a lubricant with no fragrance.
- You use lubricant often, and the 500 or 1000 ml bottle is better value for you.
Better look elsewhere if…

- You want a flavoured lubricant. Try the Joydivision Aquaglide.
- You want a mid-size 250 ml bottle. Try the Eros Aqua 250 ml.
Step by step
How to use Eros Aqua
- Put a little on your fingers, on the area or on the toy, and add more if you need to.
- With a condom, apply it on the outside once it's on.
- Reapply when you notice it's gliding less.
- Wash with water afterwards. As it's water-based, any residue washes away with it.
Storage
Close the bottle tightly after each use and store it somewhere cool, away from sunlight. Follow the expiry date on the packaging.
Our tips
- If you notice itching, stinging or irritation, stop using it and wash with water.

What the science says
What the research says about water-based lubricants
The studies we cite did not test Eros Aqua. What has been studied is the use of water-based and silicone-based lubricants.
For 5 weeks they kept a diary of how they got on with one of six lubricants. Those who used a water-based one had fewer genital symptoms than those who used a silicone-based one, and both types were linked with more pleasure and satisfaction. This is an association, not proof of cause and effect.
